My Love for Italian Cuisine, Part 2

Indulge in the eclectic food that surrounds you. You never know what new tastes you'll discover!

Contrary to popular belief of power women on the go, I am not much of an espresso drinker... or, at least I wasn’t until I had some of the best! When I moved to Italy, I was always surrounded by the sweet aroma of coffee and indulged in the greatest espresso I’ve ever had. It didn’t take long for me to rely on it for that spark of energy each day.

We all know that pasta tastes delicious with the usual pesto sauce, meat sauce and tomato sauce, but do you know how to make pasta taste exquisite? Add real Truffle! There’s no need to add any other ingredient to this perfect recipe, just pasta and a good quality real truffle, and you’ve got a dish straight from heaven! If that’s not on the menu, you can never go wrong with a lobster pasta, too!

Another food that I loved during my stay in Italy was risotto. If you are not already familiar with this traditional Italian dish, risotto is a dish of rice cooked in stock with other ingredients, like meat and vegetables. Milan has a particular way of making risotto, called risotto alla milanese.

Just look at how innovative this risotto is from your typical traditional risotto. It’s made in strawberry sauce, and just like how you would imagine, it tastes amazing!

If you find yourself roaming the streets of Milan in search of some fine cuisine, I highly recommend you visit the rooftop restaurant of Excelsior Hotel Galliaright next to Milano Centrale.

If you want to try some great dessert, you should visit the delicious chain cafe, California Bakery. You won't regret it!

Buon Appetito!
